This is the official website of the Key of Life scouting group, we are chartered by Virgin Mary & St. Pachomius Coptic Orthodox Christian Church in Stony Point, NY.
Our group was founded on October 2016 with small crew of venturers.
Our mission is to further promote the interests of our church and the members of our community. We strive to make a difference by educating the public and expanding our reach.
We emphasize community service as an important way of demonstrating good Christian citizenship. We are very proud of the tradition of excellence that has allowed a high percentage of our scouts, and we encourage every scout to work hard to achieve this lofty goal.
Our logo is a combination of our faith as Christians and our identity as Copts. It is the “Ankh,” the key of life, and since Christ is the New Testament’s key of the life, the integration of the two is our logo.
Our group number was inspired from a verse that demonstrates our belief,
“I can do all thing through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13)
